Amen Sharon! I was blessed enough to be around some of these influences growing up. I treasure the moments I had of seeing your parents and Jerald and Virgie together while I was growing up. Your dad was quiet unless he was picking on someone!, but the love he showed for your mom and Jerald for Virgie were strong influences in a lot of peoples lives as was the Parker's and the Henson's.

Eric, you described our Uncle Hursel very well..a more godly man I have never known..although I have known some other godly men in our family. Your grandfather was one, he had a good time at whatever he did but he was a christian man all the time. Our uncle Arnold Henson that passed away in October was another godly man in our family, when he owned the lumber mill he often took time to lead employees to Christ..so you see we are part of a big family that loves the Lord and aren't afraid to speak of him as a presense in our lives. My dad wasn't as outspoken as some but he was a christian. I remember the night he was saved, the first person he wanted to tell was Mama Parker. Jerald, Virgie, Mom and Dad, my brother Tony, and me and some others in the community went up the road telling everyone that my dad was saved...he was so happy and wanted everyone in the community to know. God has truly blessed us with the lives of Hursel Parker, Jerald Arivett, Arnold Henson and James Waites too...God truly has a plan for our lives if we will get out of the way and let him live though us.
